BBC: Q&A Structure as a way to inform

Among the formats used for the writing of the BBC newspaper, the Q&A structure stands out. The information is best explained, the reader is more interested, as it is a much more dynamic way of informing people. One issue that has affected the entire world's population has been the coronavirus, readers asked for clear and conclusive information and the BBC used this format, gaining a better understanding that would not give rise to doubt.

A newspaper looks for:

  • Good distribution and expression of information.

  • Snippets of information, it is not about long texts.

  • Expressing truthful and interesting information in short paragraphs.

  • The reader could expand his knowledge of any aspect of today.

Other aids a newspaper uses:

  • The use of images or graphics which make the information more visual.

  • Interviews with experts.

  • Videos.

The goal of all this is to make multimedia visual. This seems redundant but what the BBC is trying to show us is how in small fragments better information can be obtained than in long texts. This question-and-answer format has achieved great success on the BBC getting much more visibility and therefore a greater audience for the newspaper.
